This item is made from vintage linens, including lace, doilies, handkerchiefs, dresser scarves, cross-stitched designs, and more. Most of these pieces were in bad disrepair when i found them, and all had been discarded as undesirable. By layering i was able to disguise and/or reinforce most of the damaged areas while preserving the rest of the beautiful fabrics. The dress’s inner lining is made from a pink satin fabric and the drawstring around the neckline is made from the same material. I added the drawstring channels to allow for this piece to be very adjustable. The drawstrings in the sleeves are vintage ribbons.
