About this Item This is a vintage foil art piece depicting the crucifixion of Christ. I added hand embroidery using a needle and thread to spell it the lyrics quoted above. The original artwork came in the frame pictured, And though it’s a bit flimsy, I am including it with the final product.
About the Process To make this piece, I drew my cross stitch chart on graph paper, laid it over the foil art, and poked a needle through both layers of paper so that I wouldn’t make any unnecessary holes while stitching. Once that was done, I threaded my needle and carefully cross stitched each square of the graph to complete my pattern.
