About this Item: One thing about me is I love a jar of slop. I love a homogeneous meal. I love putting oat milk and fruit and granola and chia seeds in a jar. Maybe a raisin. I love shaking it, letting it thicken overnight, and then slurping it down the next day for breakfast or lunch or both. I love throwing the jar in my tote bag, forgetting about it, then being delightfully surprised by my purse slop later on. Slop is just an absolute joy to me, and now it can be a joy to you, too.
About the Process: Another thing about me is, I keep every jar that comes into my house. Birmingham doesn’t recycle glass, so every jar is a lifetime commitment. I take that seriously. Adapt and overcome, baby. My slop jars are part of that process. I clean them, remove the stickers (as much as I can), drill a hole in the lid, insert a rubber gasket, and bam! Slop jar. The hole is 8mm wide and can fit most standard straws. You can also just slurp straight from the hole. This is essentially the nipple of the jar and it longs to nourish you.
The gasket is sealable with its little plug, perfect for tossing in a tote (I have to emphasize this again). I highly doubt it’s dishwasher safe. I mean the jar and gasket are, but the letters would probably come off. It’s your life though, wash the $5 slop jar however you desire.
