This shrug is fluffy and puffy and everything you need in a statement piece to still be comfy. It’s made of seven different kinds of yarn, layered and woven together to create luxurious texture. The fibers in this piece include wool, mohair, cotton, and acrylic. The cut of this shrug is cropped with a high, ruffled mock neck mimicked by ruffled cuffs on the sleeves.
About the Process The pattern for this shrug exists only in my brain-hole, making this an original hookr design. I first conceptualized and worked this pattern in February 2024 for a Chappell Roan concert where the theme was Red Wine Supernova. The original Puffed Shrug was a fluorescent green and icy white color-way. I ended up wearing something else to the concert and later sold the shrug at an art market to someone I didn’t know would later be one of my good friends and artist inspirations (hi zoë!).
