This is a reconstructed piece of art. The original mug was handmade pottery by Bella Lopez Alberola, creator of Ancient Trade Pottery. She knows how much I love broken things and was kind enough to gift me several pieces of her beautiful work that had unfortunately broken after production.
I adhered decorative jewelry bails to the pieces of pottery and crocheted with thin wire between the bails, corseting the shards back together. I sourced the teardrop stone secondhand and attached it the same way using the crocheted wire. The stand was originally for a tiny lantern that has found a better, higher purpose in my house.
