About this item:
This item is made from vintage & contemporary linens, all leftover from previous sewing projects. I pieced all of these fabric remnants together into a whole new fabric, then made that fabric into the dress you see here. I added some crochet paneling (also made by me), ornamented with my own handmade charms.
Nothing about this dress is simple, including the hidden treasures throughout the fabric. Because i preserved the organic shapes of the remnants that make up this dress, I used the natural contours of those pieces to hide little treasures (all of them green, all of them strange.
The dress’s inner lining is made from a pink satin fabric and the drawstring around the neckline is green chenille cord. I added the drawstring channels to allow for this piece to be very adjustable. The drawstrings in the sleeves are vintage ribbons, strung with small wooden beads. oh, and the dress has lovely, deep pockets!
