One of the things I love most in the world is other people’s junk. This leads me to spend a lot of time at estate sales. One of the saddest things I find (and can never leave behind) at these estate sales, is unfinished or abandoned art. And that is a long winded way of introducing this purse. The embroidery pattern is one that I found while going through an estate sale and I just knew it would be so cute with a little love. So I finished embroidering it and thought, “wow, that could be a little tote bag. But what would I put on the other side?” So I crocheted a floral panel for that side. But when I held them together, I realized that it would make such a cute pillow, (which was one of the intended uses according to the vintage embroidery kit). So what could I do except crochet another panel to go behind the embroidery, add stuffing between the layers, (also salvaged from someone else’s junk), and stitch that up? And you know what goes excellently with a pillow purse? Some ribbon scalloped edging. So, you see the natural progression of logic here. It’s a cute-ass, girly-pop purse, and I am proud to be her rescuer and creator. Feel free to reach out with questions about the product. :)
