And that is a long winded way of introducing this purse. The embroidery pattern is one that I found while going through an estate sale and I just knew it would be so cute with a little love. So I finished embroidering it and thought, “wow, that could be a little tote bag. But what would I put on the other side?” So I crocheted a floral panel for that side. But when I held them together, I realized that it would make such a cute pillow, (which was one of the intended uses according to the vintage embroidery kit). So what could I do except crochet another panel to go behind the embroidery, add stuffing between the layers, (also salvaged from someone else’s junk), and stitch that up? And you know what goes excellently with a pillow purse? Some ribbon scalloped edging. So, you see the natural progression of logic here.
